CCS is supported in part by funding from the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism, the Non-Profit Assistance Initiative, a joint project of the Connecticut Community Foundation and the United Way of Greater Waterbury, as well as by contributions, grants, and under-writing from our loyal supporters and businesses and financial institutions in the region.

The Mission of the Connecticut Choral Society is to promote quality diversified choral music for the benefit of the singer as well as the listening audience. 

The Choral Society strives for high musical standards that encourage choral singing and performance.

Mission Statement

Founded in 1980, the Connecticut Choral Society, Inc. is an ensemble of auditioned singers from more than 20 towns in Connecticut. Under the direction of Eric Dale Knapp, its members are committed to provide a music resource for Connecticut; to encourage singing and performing choral music of the highest artistic quality; and to stimulate greater appreciation and enjoyment of choral music.

    The Connecticut Choral Society has appeared at Carnegie Hall, toured internationally and performed on network television. Rehearsals are held weekly in South Britain, CT.
